Like I said before, I have killed more plants than I can remember!! This is the first time, any of my seeds have germinated and I would really like them to flower.But they look so thin.I have started watering them from the bottom and I think it now has the first set of true leaves. How should I use the liquid fertilizer? Should I just spray it on the plants or pour it in the soil? How do you fertilize plants. Thanks for reading and for your responses.

Just babies and babies are always a little spindly looking. At this stage the plant is putting more effort into growing the strong roots it needs to make the seedling grow.
Give them more time and know that Mother Nature knows what she is doing, she has a lot of practice at this.

Don't fertilise yet, they are too young. Really you want to wait until they are planted out before feeding. What I do, once they have 4 or 5 sets of proper leaves, I pinch the growing tip out. This makes the sweetpeas branch and produce a lot more flowers. They do grow spindly to start with, so be careful you don't snap them as they flop all over the place! Also, keep them cool and in a bright place so they grow stocky and strong and don't lean to find the light.
