Hi all,

For the past few weeks I had been thinking that maybe it was time for an update to our beloved logo. So I got my graphic design thumb out and came up with the following:

I think it's a lot fresher and shows more of what we are about i.e. main focus on gardening. I also brightened up the colours to make it 'pop' a bit more.

But enough of what I think, I love to hear your first impressions Wink Thanks all!

Yep, I think "fresh" is the right adjective. Very nice.

I've been thinking (yep I do it every now and again Laughing Laughing) would it be possible to keep the stew pot over the word stew as well as have the flower and the new colours? It's just that I think the pot is unique as has been with us since the beginning. It would be a shame to lose it.

Originally I had thought about keeping the pot Eils and Netty but as soon I added the flower it became a battle between the two. A logo should not be too busy plus also when we have the special logos e.g. Hallowe'en, Xmas logos there needs to be some place to put the bats, Xmas hat etc... The free space above the Stew is like a blank canvas we can use for these logos.

I like the brighter color and the bigger lettering but I kind of like the stew pot too. But, I guess we can't have everything so I will vote yes. Dooley

How about we keep the Stew Pot alive in some other way? I had an idea this morning that maybe we can rename the Village Square to 'The Stew Pot' and I can draw up a cute little stew pot icon for it Smile What do you think?

An uphill battle here. I like the new one but hate to lose the pot. To me it's a melting pot of all our different creeds and cultures coming together in the joy of gardening. Well then...

I like the flower Mr. Green

How about a vine with some leaves going in between the two lines?

It looks as though most people like the new logo but would hate to see the stew pot go. So, another suggestion, maybe use the vine graphic and keep the pot too? There are so many other forums with flowers in their logos that it would be nice to be completely different. I'd definately keep the new colours in the logo though as they are bright and cheery. The stew pot certainly makes our forums unique and I don't think changing the Village Square to the Stew Pot quite hits the mark.
