I am wanting to put in some shrubs to make a hedge~there is some that I would like I just don't know the name of them. Question

My parents have them at their house.....when you tear up one of the leaves it smells like green apples. It is an evergreen..sometimes the leaves are variegated and then it has small white flowers on it in clusters.

Anyone know what I'm talking about???

Help~
mgf~ Cool

If there is a garden center near you (not Home Depot or Lowes) take a stem of it to them and see if they can ID it for you.
Or take a couple of pictures of it and post them here, maybe someone is familiar with it.

Good Luck

Hmmm, I've gotta admit, it's not ringing any bells for me yet.

The sweet Briar (Rosa Rubiginosa) has apple scented leaves when crushed or cut. They make great hedging plants but watch out for those thorns Mgf!! The flowers are usually pink but there are white varieties too. Very Happy
