Since I was having company this weekend and being company I decided to make these special cookies. I make these at Christmas with a candied cherry. I used m&m's this time for that Easter look. Guaranteed popularity on a plate.

Cookie
1 cup butter or margaine, softened
1 1/2 cups sugar
3 eggs
1 T vanilla
3 3/4 cups self-rise flour
3/4 cup baking cocoa
Nuts, m&m's
Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs and vanilla. beat well. in seperate bowl combine flour and cocoa. Gradually add to creamed mixture. beat well. (sticky) shape dough into 4x1/2inch fingers. Ungreased cookie sheet. bake at 350 for 8-10 minutes until almost set. Slightly cool on cookie sheet. Put on wire rack and cool.
Chocolate Glaze
1/4 c butter or margarine
1/4 c water
6 T cocoa
2 c confectioner's sugar
1 t vanilla
Combine butter and h2o in saucepan, bring to a boil. Remove from heat. add sugar and vanilla. beat well. if too thick add a little more water. Spread on cookies. Decorate with nuts and stuff. You're getting more popular by the minute!
