Some of those plants do look a bit imaginative aren't they. I did notice that many of the descriptions were accompanied by drawings of the product and not actual photos...makes you wonder.

Hi Glendann,
There is an online database of
plant companies free of charge:
http://davesgarden.com/gwd/c/928/
According to customers who have
posted their experiences with
Gardener's Choice, they have
the following feedback:
19 positives
23 neutrals
* 168 negatives *
I'll leave it up to you to decide,
but based on the comments, I would
find another place to shop.
They are also affiliated with the
following companies:
Spring River Nurseries Inc
TomatoGiant.com
GardeningTouch.com
Is there something in particular
you were thinking of ordering? Maybe
we can help you find it elsewhere, or
provide the true lowdown on the plants.

Hi Glendann,
We are in zone 7-ish and have an
Empress in our yard. It has been there for
years without doing much. Our neighbor has
had one for longer, but even hers almost dies
back to the ground each year, having to start
all over.
For some reason, in our area, they don't
do well enough to become invasive, much less
bloom. But, there is always a chance.

Wow, wuvie, what a waluable website!!!! I always wonder about those places. I send an order to Henry Fields a couple of years ago, carefully budgeted how much I could order, then some of the plants never came *scowl*

Yes, Paulownia trees are VERY invasive here in Tennessee. Of course I have one though. It's a beautiful tree. I keep the crown cut out so it will make big leaves for birdbaths.
Wuvie that IS a great website. I always suspect any company that doesn't use real photos.
