I recently moved into a different bedroom in the house and am turning my old bedroom into a home office. The new office was just painted an irish mint green color last year. I like the paint color and am now buying new carpet for the room. Originally I was going to match the carpet and get a green one. I am six of gray and neutral colors cause i had such for the past ten years. But... shopping for green carpets proved rather hard. I found greens I liked -- called "tropical paradise," kind of aqua greens -- very vibrant and bright like i wanted -- like a 8 or 9 for me. But they were thin/cheap quality. The thicker more plush carpets I like (which will be nicer to walk on) aren't as vibrant. I found a plush one that would be nice that is maybe a 7 on the color scale (not as nice as the other in color) but feels very nice, thick, and still a vibrant color. This one is called turtle teal. Then i found one with the best of both worlds, "blue snowcone," which is flashy blue and is a vibrant color and the thick plush type. The problem is -- the blue carpet i assume would not really go with the irish mint green light green wall? I am guessing most people would think they go awful together. Stick with the blue carpet and just re-paint the wall to a white light blue or even a gray blue? Or get the green carpet to match the wall? Or get the blue carpet and leave the green wall? i want something that looks very youthful. The blue some think looks like a 12 year old boys room, but yet I am drawn to it, lol. I am in my early 20s, and feel like if I don't get something vibrant now when will i? Pictures are not that accurate, but lets try..
current wall color

Blues and greens are great together if they are complimenting shades, because they are in the same family, they work well together.

My suggestion is first think of what u want for the carpet because its going to be there the longest. You can always pick the wall color and change it in a couple of years. It sound like you pick the color for the rug (Blue) just by reading your post. Just my thought tho.
