Brilliant idea, the flowerpot on it's side for circulating water. I'm gonna steal that one once I find a good solar powered pump. (electricity is such a hassel!)
I've seen little, floating solar powered lights, one of those would look really good in your pond!

I think decorative trellises with vines would look good EJ. If you use annualvines make sure it will be something that will not put too much trash in your water when it dies down. You might want to go with an evergreen vine.

Hi EJ,
I've only just joined so apologies for the rather late comment. How are the gunnera progressing?
Just as a warning this is a photo of one of ours. It's meant to be a 'small' variety but will certainly end up about 5 feet tall with a 7-8 foot spreadlater in the summer! No too bad for the west of Scotland.
