i have this trunk covered in a hard vinyl material as a coffee table, it is starting wear out. the trunk is good, but it does have a bit of wear a tear on it. I was considering just putting a few vintage travel sticker on it to cover the marked areas, but i have no idea how to better protect those stickers. What can i cover both vinyl and paper sticker with to protect it??

I would think several coats of clear water based polyurethane would be the answer, but I am not the expert.

Any other ideas?

Waterpoly is great. I've used that on just about everything with good results.
