I know some of you are in Scotland and some from the US. And also Ireland. I was wondering what your area looked like? I live in central Ohio, USA and here is an ariel veiw of where I live.

The large wooded area on the right side is where my house is. I have 3 acres in there!

Very pretty and rural Capt. Can we see your house in that photo? So great to see where you live Smile

You can see some photos of the area I am originally from at this link http://www.castlebar.ie/photos/the-west/abbeyknockmoy/glry/

Some of the roads in my area still look like this Laughing Laughing :

No my house can't be seen because of all the trees. You see the house and barn near the center of the pic? The one that is set back from the road? There is a line of trees that comes out to the road just above that. That row of trees is where my driveway is and my house is in the trees to the right of it. My driveway is 1/4 mile long. Can be a bear to get out of in the winter time.

Even though I a in the US, my roots go back to Ireland and Scotland. My last name is Kirkpatrick. I have traced my heritage to the early 1700's when a John H. Kirkpatrick came to the US from Scotland. He also was a soldier in our Revolutionary War. He was 10 years old when he migrated here with his family.
