A few years ago I bought the cutest little birdhouse in the North Georgia mountains. I had every intention of painting it and hanging it in the yard. I found it buried in the garage Embarassed Does anyone know if one color is better than another? Are birds attracted to one color and turned off by another? Since it isn't very big I think it will appeal to a wren or maybe a sparrow. I promise to get it painted and hung up very soon!

I tend to go for browns and greens for birdhouses but I know some of our members have been far more ambitious, and artistic, than me. I do like the idea of a white house with a red roof though. Very Happy

I always go with fairly light colors as birds get hot too. By all means make it colorful. Cool

I prefer the natural look so probably wouldn't paint it at all.
