Now that Ian's time at work has been cut to just four days a week it means that we have three days (Saturday, Sunday and Monday) in which we can go for long walks and I can enjoy taking piccies of the wildlife I see.
Here are some I took today.
Robin.
Blue Heron.
Roe deer.
Baby fieldmouse. He/she was so intent on eating that it didn't notice me looming over it to snap it's picture!!!
Treecreeper.

WOW  David Attenborough eat your heart out. The fieldmouse shot is a wonder, you must have been extra quiet. The robin pic is sublime too. Great pics on an otherwise dreary Monday

Wow, I wish I could take pictures like that  Maybe if I had a zoom camera.... *thinks*
Interesting robin... what kind of Robin is it? Ive only ever seen American Robins in real life ^_^

Great pictures Eileen! I really like the one of the Blue Heron. You find all these great shots out on a walk? I've got to start carrying my camera at all times!

Jen it's just an ordinary European Robin but they are such friendly little birds and great helpers in the garden as they love to eat all the nasties we dig up. They feature strongly on Christmas cards here in the UK.
Netty I've always enjoyed taking photographs of wildlife and have infinite patience when I have my camera with me. I once stood for six hours on the Forth Road Bridge to get a shot of some Orca/Killer whales that visited the Firth of Forth near Edinburgh. Here's the best shot I got of them!!

That could be my downfall Eileen...I'm not very patient when waiting with a camera. But I'm determined that this is the year I will finally get a photo of my Hummingbirds-especially after seeing your other post about the baby Hummers!!
