None of the gnomes who live in my garden wear hats of this style, but I do believe I have seen pictures of a clan in somewhere Europe whose members all prefer this style.

Looks decidedly Norwegian to me, the gnomes up there are a bit more style-conscious. *I really need to dig out my spinning wheel!*
