My husband is in charge of the Operation Christmas Child project at church this year. He hopes to fill 100 shoeboxes with toys, etc. for needy children. My sister and some of her friends made a few stuffed turtles for him (25+)

Those are so CUTE! I use to play with yarn (I only know one stich). How did they make those? They are perfect for children of any age. Praying your Blessings Multiply!

What wonderful gifts your sister and her friends have made Polly. I'm sure every child that receives one of those turtles will love it.

Now those are really cute!!
So your hubby is a Turtle Herder??
Are they making more?? Could make them really special and attach a card with a special saying for each child...maybe even a cute name for each turtle too!
Kids love that!!

teddybear they are all crocheted from the same pattern but since everyone crochets a little different they came out in different sizes.
mygirlfriday I hadn't thought of naming them. Sounds like a good idea.

If you had 26 turtles Polly you could have one name for every letter of the alphabet They all look so individual as well, good job by all.

Operation Christmas Child is a great project to get involved in. Our church collects shoe boxes every year. Thanks to you and hubby for doing y'all part. The turtles are just too cute.

What a thoughtful thing you are doing. Wish I could see each and every smiling child's face when they open the shoe boxes. Mygirlfriday that's a nice idea and using each letter is a smart one Frank.

What a lovely little bunch. Wonder what the collective noun is for a load of turtles? A tattle of turtles? A school of turtles?
