Today I had to take Christopher to the vet, cause he had and open wound on his side Sad I took him to a nearby Emergancy clinic cause no regular vets were open (what, do they think pets dont get sick/hurt on Sunday?), and while they were shaving/cleaning it, they discovered another one! The vet said that they looked to be a few days old and that they were healing well. He also said they were abcesses (sp?) that had opened. They gave me some Amoxicillan to give him.

Hes an indoor/outdoor cat, so he might've gotten in a scuffle (hes neutered, btw Smile ) Earlier I had to change my shirt because some of the pus got on it o_O *ewww*

His sister Babycat (we dont have her anymore Sad ) got a really bad wound once in her chest. We figured shed been bitten because there was a little hole, surrounded by a furless area. It smelled really bad so we took her to the vet. They opened it, let it drain, then sewed her back up. We even had pictures of the procedure (dunno where they are).

Poor Chris he certainly looks the worse for wear at the moment. Sad Let's hope those antibiotics do the trick and that the wounds heal quickly.

Looks a lot like our Hard Hat a few weeks ago. He got into a fight in the garage with another of our cats, Longfellow. Hard Hat had to go to the vet to get the wounds cleaned and was put on antibiotics for several days. He's all healed now and the fur is growing back in so he is starteing to look more normal again.

OHHHHHHHHH!!!! That looks sore poor kitty. My cat got a large abscises on her face. Called the vet for next morning appointment. By then it had opened. The vet said that was the best thing that could have happened or he would have had to do it. She was bite by a spider he said. Come to find out we had and have still black widows on the porch. She doesn't mess with them anymore and I kill them and the eggs when I find them. I think that's the only living thing I kill and don't mind it.

Poor Kitty! My office cat, Missy Mama, had an abscess right before Christmas. The vet had to put a drain in it so guess what I got for Christmas? A $161 dollar vet bill! Oh well, she's fine now! I think the worst part of her ordeal was she had to wear a cone around her head for a week Sad
I hope he heals fast!
