A farmer was in court sueing an insurance company to pay his hospital bills from a recent accident. The lawyer for the company had the farmer on the stand. Isn't it true that when the Highway Patrolman asked you how you were feeling after the accident, that you told him fine? The farmer said, Let me tell you what had happened. I had loaded my favorite mule, Bessie into the trailer and had started down the road. The lawyer shouted, just answer the question yes or no. Did you tell the officer you were feeling fine? The farmer continued his story, I came to an intersection and this semi-truck ran the stop sign and hit my truck knocking us off the road. The lawyer interrupts angain. Just answer the question Yes or no. The farmer trys to continue his story. The lawyer asks the judge, Your honor, please make the farmer answer the question. He is a fraud and is trying to get money that he dosn't deserve out of my company. The judge who had started to get interested in the story said, I think I will let him continue with his story. The farmer says, I ended up in one ditch along the road and Bessie was in the other one. I was quite dazed and couldn't move for a while But I could hear poor Bessie moaning and groaning in extreme pain in the other ditch. A State Trooper gets to the scene and he goes over to Bessie and see's what bad shape she is in. He pulls out his pistol and shoots her right between the eyes and the moaning stops. He then comes over to where I am at and he still has the pistol in his hand with smoke curling up from the barrel and say's " And how are you feeling?"
