**Weed or Grass? I need help!

    It certainly looks like a type of grass although I have absolutely no idea which type it is. :( Here is a website that may point you in the right diection as to what to do with the unwanted plants in your lawn.

    i've even asked my father in law who is a landscape architect and he had no clue. Have i discovered a new species? haha.

    also, if you look closely you can see the lovely wild violet starting to come in on one of those pictures. the woman who owned our home before did an awful job on the lawn...but the flowers we have in our yard are unbelievable.

    I hope you discover what it is cmventui. How about digging a small clump of it up and taking it along to a garden centre or lawn specialist and asking them what it is? If you do find out then please let us know as it may help another member out some day.

    I went back and looked at your photographs again and yes - I can see the wild violet. I have them growing in my lawn and flower beds and simply leave them alone as they are so pretty.

    I know exactly what you mean. It is very invasive. I attempted a total war on it a few years ago and it worked but it is coming back now.
