It didnt stay sunny all day, in fact it rained some.
After a brief rain shower,i went out to the veggie garden and discovered the peonies had started opening.
Besides the peonies, the chives were also blooming.
Here's my peony pic.

This is the chives.

And our columbines.

We also got our new rose trellis up, here are the pics.

And our wonderful climbing peace rose .

Very nice Kat. My peonies are about a foot tall - your's is beautiful. I don't have any that color. My columbines are up but will be a long while before blossoms. Do you have other colors of them? I have chives coming up all over including in the driveway. The new trellis looks great as does the Peace rose.

Polly, It rained today, you know what rain does to peonies, they fall. We have the common missouri columbine, woodland variety.Just red ones is all.In some places their called wild geraniums, because of their foliage.
Thanks on the trellis's too.

Kat it seems we always get a hard rain whenthe peonies are at their best. Then it is peony petals all over the ground.

Very nice Kat. My Peonies have only come up a few inches so it will be quite a while before I see any blooms. Your Roses look great and I just love your new trellis.

Thank you Netty, I'm sure it's a bit cooler in canada , but you'll have your peonies pretty soon. Just hope it doesn't rain on them.
