Just before dark, I went to close the front door. I have two hummingbird feeders hanging where I can see them from the door. There were eight hummingbirds milling around without even chasing each other. I tried to get a picture but it was getting too dark and they didn't show up enough to keep. They must have been trying to get a last snack before bedtime. It was near 90 here today but a storm front came through and dropped the temps really quick. We didn't get rain but it was really windy. My sister said they had a huge duststorm in Phoenix and it was so windy a lot of trees were down and shingles were off of a lot of roofs. Dooley

I love the hummers! I think I must have gotten the mix in my feeders wrong, as they haven't shown any interest. Hopefully I'll get a new feeder for mother's day though, keeping my toes crossed. Must have been wonderful seeing so many of them at once!

You are all so lucky having hummingbirds in your gardens. The only 'hummers' I get are bees and wasps!!

Wow Dooley...8 at once! Too bad it was too dark for a photo. I don't think I'll see any Hummers here for another month or so.

I'll bet they were pretty. My sister used to have them come out of the woods by the hundreds late in the evening, it was an awesome sight and sound.

We've counted as many as 25 at one time but they are usually flying all over. These were all collected around the feeders. Dooley

We seldom get more than a couple of them but my husband does like to watch them. The feeder is usally outside his workshop window so he can watch them. Like Netty we won't have them here for awhile yet.
