What is the basic care for hydrangeas in the winter - should I cover them with burlap or something? Any thoughts welcome! Very Happy

All I do with mine is cut them back either in a mild autumn or in spring just before they bud up. Other than that I leave them to their own devices and they withstand our Scottish winters just fine. Mind you none of mine are tender plants. I'm sure someone else will be along in a while who can help you out more.
