I planted some catalope and summer squash in pots to get them started. One squash and 1 cantalope are up. Once they get some size to them I will plant them where they are going to go. I started them in pots to keep the coons from messing with them. I set them in the shop every evening where the coons can't get to them.

That's just what I want to do. How long did it take to get them to show their heads ??? I also plan to grow them in larger pots in an above ground garden, I've never done that before, and hope it works.

Took 4 days for the first squash and 7 days for the second one. The first cantalope took 6 days and the 2nd one never did germinate. I replanted but it hasn't come up yet either.
