This is an updated picture of the mystery plant, I still don't know what it is but the Swallowtail butterflies just love it. I have seen the Tiger, the Eastern Black and this Giant Swallowtail passionately feasting on it this week.
I bought this at the grocery store yesterday, it had no ID tag on it just a price tag.
Each stem is a seperate plant and they average 15 inches tall. The flowerette at the end of the stalk is green with no signs of changing color.
The leaves are shiny, smooth and not quite as thick as the leaves of a snapdragon.
It also seems that the flowers bloom when each plant is only about 3 inches tall, there are two of the small ones in amongst the tall stalks. They have had several blooms but this is the last one.

Very pretty plant, Toni; or group of plants. My first thought was one of the bamboo family but after closer inspection of the photos, I don't think bamboo. I hope someone can ID this one. ..........Hank

Hmmm, that is different.
It reminds me of a Vinca, more than anything else,
maybe a new variety?

We got home Sunday evening to find that the plant with no name had bloomed!! The flowerette at the top of each stalk started budding and blooming since last Friday. Each stalk has a combination of white,pink and dark pink blooms. They do look like Sweet William, aka Dianthus but not the like the red ones I have in the tipsypot or have seen in garden centers.
I had thought they bloomed before sending up that stalk since there are two of the plants that are only about 3 inches tall and have been blooming since I bought it.
