My daughter and I ate our first home grown cherry tomato yesterday. It was deliciously sweet and juicy! My plant is loaded with clusters of tomatoes, and the rest of my garden is growing wonderfully as well. I'll have to upload some updated pictures.
My first attempt at growing a vegetable garden is turning out to be a great success. Now if only I could figure out why my chives won't grow...

I agree! Nothing is better than a home grown tomato! I must admit, I'm more than a little jealous...my tomato plants won't go in until next week.

Netty, we've got an insanely long growing season here in south Texas. Winter is extremely short and mild, which is great for gardening

Wow, my toms aren't even planted out yet! I noticed the first flower truss though. Hopefully I will get my plants onto the allotment this week, but I won't be enjoying my first home grown tomato until at least July, maybe even August.

My tomato plants are just beginning to flower at the moment. I can hardly wait to taste my very first one - they are just soooo mouthwateringly delicious!!
