I have a non-verigated airplane plant that is at least 25 yrs. old. I have repotted about 2 yrs. ago. It's color is a pale green. I planted an off spring last yr. and it is a healthy green and looks great. The parent plant has many off spring. So should I transplant again? The parent plant doesn't show any signs of dying--it's color just isn't a lush green like it has been in the past. Suggestions? This was my mother's plant and I don't want to loose it!

I don't think repotting again would be the ideal solution straight off momski123. First let's explore some other avenues. How often to you water/feed it? How do you feed it?
Does it look like it is outgrowing it's current home?
Also posting a comparison photo between the old and new airplane plant may help us. If you can

When the mother plant begins to look weakened,
the first thing I always do is cut off all of the baby plantlets.
They draw a lot of energy from the mama plant.
I cut them off and plant them, or share them with friends.
The big plant will send out more when she gets healthy again.

I looked at my airplane plant and it appeared somewhat root bound so I replanted in larger pot. I also suspected the "babies" might have something to do with the color of the plant. So I will cut them off  , plant and share them and see what happens to the "mother plant". Guess it's something like when your children leave home -- a good thing and a bad thing!
