Being clumsy is not good. About a week ago, I walked through our very cluttered garage dodging things as I always do. Didn't dodge quite right and fell landing on my hands and knees with an awful pain in the big toe. By morning it was swollen and very bruised. Thought it was getting better but felt worse yesterday and today so went to the doctor. I have a fracture. Nothing to do but let it heal and treat the pain as best I can.

I broke a toe many years ago, made putting on shoes impossible and driving was right out. Hope your toe heals soon but in the meantime milk this situation as much as you can.

I'm just thankful I fell inches from the litter box and not in the litter box.

Don't you wish there was a way to live that moment over. I think about how many times I got into the truck with no problem and one time hurts my knee so it takes forever to heal. We could do an instant replay and do it different the second time around. Dooley

I hope you've found an affective painkiller Polly as a broken toe is no laughing matter. Take care that you don't knock it against anything and stay out of that garage for a while!!!!

Ow! Ow! Ow! I am sympathizing with you! Yesterday I was vacuuming my office, wearing sandals, and accidentally drug the vacuum over my big toe. Ripped the nail, bled, and I said bad words
Keep that thing protected! Any little bump will hurt like crazy!

OUCH!! So sorry about your poor toe, Polly.
Your accident reminds me, again, to be thankful that I only scuffed my paws
and bruised my knees when I took my most recent tumble, last Monday.
Clumsy is my middle name.

Sounds like the perfect time to relax and look at your lovely garden Polly. And get others to do all the work! Hope your toe heals quickly.

Youch Polly! You take care of your pinkies! A few years back I broke my tail bone (cocyx) and it pained me something awful to stand up. There was nothing the hospital could do, it was a minor break and all I could do was take it easy until it healed. It took ages, but I am very careful now when crouching down.....I did it by crouching down as my then baby son came running to me from preschool and he pushed me backwards and I landed with a thump on my backside. Sometimes the silliest things cause us the greatest pain!
