This tall elegant verbana is so airy it can even go in the front of the flowerbed. Here in zone 7 it usually winters over but also reseeds freely. It is butterfly-liscous. It laughs at drought.

That is a pretty one. The 'laughs at drought' part really caught my attention, I will have to find a couple of those.

I love your description of your verbena Bethie!! Mr. Green The butterflies and bees love it here and it looks soooo good doesn't it gently swaying in the breeze? Very Happy

I once bought four of five of these and really liked them. I have been gently encouraging them to seed and it looks like I am going to have a couple of hundred this year.

Those are very pretty Bethie. Someone really nice sent me some and now I can't wait to see it bloom! And the fact that it tolerates drought is a bonus!

I grew up about 35 miles from where I live now. It grew wild in Darrow, but I don't have it here. It is very pretty.

I recently bought one at a charity plant sale. Love the sound of it loving drought as my back garden doesn't see much water during the summer months. Hoping it will seed itself willy nilly around my garden as I love it!
