Ok, i was walking with my daughter and I picked up these 2 different (weeds?). One was in my yard.. the button one.
The other was on the side of the road. i just thought it looked neat sort of.

both are over 2 feet tall and one is just a orangey purplish yellow(pollen) button on the top of the long stem that has no leaves except at the bottom. the leaves are kinda long and teardrop with ridged edges and are a light green.

The second one has leaves going all the way up and down it. They are smooth edged and long narrowteardrops. They are all facing the same direction. this weed was laying down and had a couple of the same stems on it so leaves were facing upwards. Theya re light green. The flower heads on top are almost star shaped and open to have a star shape in the middle (purplish star) and there are no real petals except what covered the outside of these flowers. Whew i dont know how else to descibe them but..
Here is the pic
