Ok I'm lookig for a plant that will spread out good and cover alot of area. We have a steep bank that faces the road. It is a pain to weedeat and I was looking for something that could coer it and look nice at the same time.

There are many good ground cover plants try Googling for things like Creeping Jenny, saxifrage, thyme, sedums etc. They all cover ground fairly quickly and look good too.

Asian Jasmine is popular down here, but it won't take really severe winters. Once in a while freezes might turn the leaves a bit brown but it comes back just fine in spring. Grows under any conditions and in any type of soil.
I am hoping to get the strip of land between our front sidewalk and the street planted with it this fall.

I agree Creeping jenny is good as well as some of the low growing sedums. Others have told me vinca does well too.

I've got a few quick growing ground cover plants in my yard-Ajuga, Goutweed, and Vinca. The Goutweed drops it's leaves for winter but the others don't.
