Having turned my attentions to the front of the house, I have now planted up a trough containing Bush Fuschia, Geraniums, Marigolds and Lobelia.

My question is, the label on the tray of Lobelia said it was called 'Richard III' but try as I may, I can't seem to find anything on the Internet about it.

Has anyone here grown it before?

I've never heard of "Richard 111" Lobelia. It must be a new variety?

Ah thank you Eileen!

I used to blame my idiocy on my youth, then pregnancy. Now there's nothing for it but to admit that I'm finally over the hill!!

Anyway, this is nothing compared to when I sent the assistant in Boots for a bottle of 'Elation.' It was a good half hour later that she asked if perhaps I meant 'Oilatum?' Laughing

I vividly remember a time, long before my gardening days, when I was sent to buy a plant for a friend. She wrote the name down for me and when I arrived at the garden centre I took a quick look at her note and, trying to sound knowledgeable, asked the assistant for a cottoneater. It gave everybody a rare old laugh because what I should have said was cotoneaster!!!! I guess I'm one of those people who don't improve with age. Embarassed
