Here are the roots 24 hrs later. They have grown at least an inch and one is opening up more.

They are looking more and more like Canna Lily Dooley.

I agree they certainly look like canna lilies to me too now Dooley. I wonder what colours they will be when they flower?

I still don't think the rhizomes look like cannas. Can't wait to see the leaf fully opened.

Looks like my Canna Lilies. Mine are taking over. I'm going to give some to a friend. Wish I could send some in the mail but I think they would die

I am not sure its a Canna yet.I'll have to wait and see.It just doesn't look like one to me.
Gizmo I thing one would live put in a plastic bag with wet paper towel.They are hard to kill.
