The neighbor gave me a little mimosa tree last fall. Now, his mimosa trees have had leaves for about a month and are all grown bigger. Mine didn't get any leaves. I thought I drowned it a couple of times. Part of the top died and I snapped it off. Now, it's getting very little leaves on it. Hooray!! I didn't kill it. Dooley

If im not mistaken, should we take off the bottom leaves that grow out? Kind of like taking suckers off of roses? to help it grow? Or is that later as it gets bigger? I have mimosas too but have trouble getting them to grow past a couple of inches lol.

I'm not taking off any leaves. They'll just have to grow. Our neighbor doesn't take leaves off of his either. He has several of varying sizes. He always starts them from seeds. Dooley
