I have been reading about this azalea from Japan for over 10 years, now I am preparing a spot for azaleas and would really like to try it. Has anyone ever tried to grow it? I live in zone 5, the books say its hardy there. But it is VERY expensive and I cannot afford it if its going to die on me.

You know how it is, you read about a shrub and its all glowing testemonials, but sometimes real people have completely different experiences.

Thanks.
