This is a plant my eldest son, Duncan, has growing indoors. Can you help me ID it for him please? I've never known it to flower.

Eileen a neighbor just showed me this plant last week and she called it a lipstick plant. Sorry I don't know the sientific name. Cool eye catching plant though. ER

Sorry Eileen I can't ID it for Duncan, but I did want to comment about what a cool looking plant it is!!

Many thanks Englishrose and GardenFrantic - that's definately it!!!! I like the flowers it produces so let's hope it blooms for Duncan. If it does I'll post another piccie of it. It really is a cool looking plant isn't it Julie? I may just pinch a cutting for myself!!

I had one of these hoyas years ago. It kept getting mealybugs and it was So hard to get them out of those twisty leaves. I do love it.
