We all know that 'playing in the dirt' relieves stress, makes us feel good and gives a strong sense of accomplishment...that's why we garden.

Now some British scientists are beginning to agree with what gardeners have know for years.

Now I know why I'm always much happier outdoors getting my hands dirty!!! Strange how it's taken scientists so long to discover that people really do feel better when they work in their gardens though as studies have been done with mentally disturbed patients and prisoners in the past. It was proven that they were more relaxed and much calmer after a being given work to do in the gardens.
