Gday,

Im making my first plastic model aeroplane, and ive spent weeks and weeks on it and im very proud of it. As one of the finishing touches i put a clear plastic cockpit glass over the cockpit, but i had a little bit of glue on the glass, and a fingerprint in glue that i left. Dad suggested I paint over the glass with mineral turps to dissolve the glue, but it has crazed the plastic so you cant see in and ruined my hard work!

Are there any ways i can return this plastic to a clear state? Or is it ruined. Also, next time what can i use to remove the glue (Butyl Acetate? - Plastic Cement) or the paints (enamel) off the plastic?

Cheers
Simon
