Hi, I wanted to know, if the soil is not of a good quality, how often should I use a fertilizer on the veggies? I've fertilized them once with a granulated vegetable plant food, and that was several months ago.

When they are growing I use miracle gro every couple of weeks, especially on vegetables and flowers. I have one that is just made for tomatoes. Stop in the fall when you don't want new growth. You can put compost around them anytime and mulch to keep them from drying out too fast. We put composted mulch around everything this spring. Dooley

Thanks for the advice! I'll have to get some miracle gro this week, they could use a boost!
My sister got some fresh horse manure from a friend, and everything in my parents backyard is doing great. She said she'll get me a container the next time she picks some up for herself. Which should be this week I'm hoping.
