Hi all,
Has anyone got any tips on caring for Lilliums. Someone told me you should cut them back to ground level once a year! Is that right? If so, when?
Also any other general care tips.

Thanks
Craig

I know this is really really late in coming, but someone might need this information someday. Here in the USA, liliums need six to eight weeks of cold periods each winter. If gardeners live in a cold-winter-months zone (1 to 6)they will not have to dig them up. But those of us that live in the warm south usually have to cut them to the ground, dig them up, put them in cold storage such as the vegetable bin of a refrigerator (don't put any veggies in there with them) until early spring. We then replant them.

My sweet hubby plants Stargazer every spring in large containers, but he buys and plants fresh each year. He does not go to the trouble of digging them up. We live in zone 7b west Texas.
