I got the tomatoes done yesterday and this morning I did the potatoes in plastic bags and one tub and planted some squash seeds and sunflower seeds and eggplant and now I'm done. LOL Well, I still have those lettuce seeds to put in pots, but tomorrow for those. Dooley

You planted potato in plastic bags? Can you explain? Is it to late for potatos in Oklahoma??

Good for you Dooley ,I have so much to do on playing catch up its unreal.
I'm going to start a new bed tomorrow if it doesn't rain again.I wont to start another small veggie garden.Maybe 2 more small ones.If I can do it .I also need to transplant more plants and I have so many seeds to plant plus I want to plant potatoes in a trash bag.Wish me luck.

I found it on another site. here's the link but I don't know how to do links so you'll have to type it.

http:www.diynetwork.com/diy/gr_fruits_vegetables/article/0,2029,DIY 4463475,00.html You get a big black garbage bag. Roll it down to 1/3 and put in the soil. Plant your potatoes. Water them and watch them grow. Put holes in the bottom for drainage. As the potatoes grow, add more dirt, leaving a few inches of leaves sticking out. Roll up the bag when you add dirt. When the bag is full and the leaves start turning brown, stop watering and wait a few days and them you can slit the bag and take out the potatoes. I hope it's as simple as that. I have my bags sitting in metal tubs as I planted them in bags because the bugs ate them last time I planted potatoes and I thought if I cut holes in the bags the bugs could get in the bag. So, I put the bags in the tubs. Dooley
