My son works at the local WalMart and is a supervisor in the electronics department. Last night he comes up from his apartment in the basement and is carrying his 17 inch LCD monitor. I asked him if he was having problems with it and he said no, he had bought a new one. It seems they had a 17" HP LCD monitor on static display and it had never been turned on. And they wanted to sell it. It was originally priced at $250 but marked it down to $100. So he snapped it up and got an additional 10% employees discount after it. So we hooked his old one up to my computer. And now I have a spare 15" regular monitor. Then this morning I get home from exercise and his old monitor is gone and the new HP is in it's place. Evidently he liked his old one better. Hey I liked both of them! He is at work now and I need to call him and find out what's going on! Mr. Green

What a nice gift. Maybe he wanted to see if you liked using an LCD monitor before hooking up the new one. If you hadn't like it, then you would not have felt compelled to keep it simply because it was a gift and you didn't want to hurt his feelings.

I called him at work and asked him about it. The new one is silver colored and the old one is black. He said he just liked the way the black one looked with his black computer. So I asked him what I owed him for it and he said that it was a fathers day gift! What a nice thoughtful son. He still lives at home at age 36. But he is a lot of help around the house and on his days off, helps with tasks that I have problems with, with my heart condition. He is also as strong as an ox! We really don't have a problem with him living at home as the house will be his one day. And he does pay several of the bills as his rent. So all in all, he is a good kid!

So cool to hear about a family that loves each other! So do things really look different with the new monitor?

Well I thought this new one was a 17 in. but ot's a 19". My old one was a 15 inch. It does make things look different. The letters are a lot bigger and easier to read. The black one looked just a little fuzzy hooked up to mu puter, but this one is clearer. And Aaron said it was just the opposite on his.

Well that worked out well for all concerned. Very Happy Aaron has the monitor he prefers and you've got a brand new 19" one!!!! Mr. Green Somehow I don't think our two lads will be as generous to their dad when it comes to Father's Day here. Sad
