I always have nice fruit on my peach trees. But, i have a question for a friend. She said her peach tree never flowers, and she only gets small peaches. She said she was told it was becasue her tree was male? I didnt know there was a difference. Fill me in?

My plum tree always has fruit as well, but the plums are never bigger than cherry size. By the time they ripen, the birds usually eat most of them. I cant remember the exact name of the tree.. i thought it starts witha K.. but who knows. I pulled off flowers so the fruit would ahve more energy to go to the rest of the fruit.. i tried pulling off several plums for the same reason but still, cherry size plums. This tree is NOT a sand plum tree. Any ideas? Thanks again!

Sarah

I think your friend has blooms she misses as the peaches are after the blooms and grow from the blooms. If I'm wrong someone let me know as I thought fruit trees were about the same as other plants. If it is a male tree it shouldn't ever have a fruit on it.

Lol well, Thats what i was thinking, but im no expert (; I did think that all trees flower. but come to think of it, I dont think my apple tree bloomed any flowers! And it doesnt have any apples growing yet. I know it is one of those late bloomers, but dont know why. Anyways, anyone know anything about Macintosh apple trees? I searched but found nothing.
