So THAT'S where all the rain has been this week! We were supposed to be getting some starting last Wednesday but nothing except for the 5/8ths inch this morning.
I am just hoping for enough to soften the ground up for weeding, right now I can not get my trowel to break the surface and even the garden fork won't puncture the top.

We're certainly getting enough rain here at the moment too Glenda. Your arch looks lovely even if it is wet out. Our grass seems to be sprouting before our eyes now that the wet weather is here so I guess we're all going to be getting our mowers out once the weather clears!!

yep, raining here too. Managed to get in some mowing when it lightened to a mist. That's a beautiful shot, btw, much lovelier than my mental picture of Texas, always imagine fighting back the desert!

We could use the rain here, too. It was hot, hot, hot here today. I was inside but dr was outside. He did use his sunscreen though. Dooley

We have had from 1/2 inch to 2 inches daily.Thunder and lightning .I was told today a front of some sort had stalled over our area toni and is stuch here so yep thats the reason. Thanks Eileen the arch has Hycinth vines and Mandavilla on it.
Critterpainter Texas has a little bit of everything in it ,The Gulf of Mexico, Deserts and mountains ,Beautiful Hill country.Underground caves so much you would have to visit to appreciate the wonder it holds.Needless to say I am a Texan through and through.

Glenda, that Low pressure system has been stalled over us too but it has been keeping most of the rain south of us then kicking it to the east as it gets up here.
There is a desert area of Texas out west near Monahans, it has sand dunes to rival the Sahara. There are 867 land based ecoregions across the globe and we have 12 of them are in Texas.

Toni I knew there was a reason for all this rain but wasn't real sure.I would love to just travel in Texas as there is still so many wonders to see.We invite you TheBip to move to one of the greatest state in the U.S.A. To me the next would be Montana.I have never traveled much I'm sure there are many morebut I haven't seen them.
