Does anyone have any experience with antiques? I have
discovered a wonderful new thing! My Grandma used to have a serving platter with the cutest little blue bird on it. I've decided to decorate my new breakfast nook with this old platter. Evidently Bluebird china has quite a history. Any advice would be GREATLY appreciated!
Thanks
Deanna

I found info on two different patterns called Bluebird. One made in Austria and one in Ohio.
The Ohio Bluebird china was an everyday china since bluebirds symbolize happy events, tranquility and good fortune.

Are there any markings on the bottom of the platter? That would be helpful in finding more info on which pattern you have.

No marks. Doesn't that sound just really sweet? Happy events, tranquility and good fortune Very Happy
My goal is to get several different pieces (according to affordability) and mix and match them on the wall. I found a cute bread & butter plate at the antique mall for $4.80 Very Happy Very Happy It is marked "Bavaria" on the bottom.
