I always seem to have quite a few plants in pots
that, for various reasons, I'm not yet ready to plant into the garden,
so I've needed a more organized space to keep those plants together,
 a place where I can keep a close eye on how they are doing.
This area, to the side of my glasshouse has not been well used in the past.
There were only some scruffy Daylilies, Iris, and Crocosmia growing there.
We mowed all of that down and sprayed with Roundup,
then we laid down weed barrier and cedar chip mulch.
Using concrete blocks and builder's pallets, we made a long plant table.
It looked so big to start with . . .
 . . . but it's filling up way too fast!!
Oh, and there are my blueberry bushes, growing right along the glasshouse wall,
the fruits are ripening now, and the local birds are letting me have a few.
 Those have been handy for snacking while I tend to the nursery.

Oh I could do with an area just like that Zuzu. Only thing is I have no space left... ...I could always dig up some of Ians lawn...again.

I was just telling Randy the other day that I need a nursery area. I have bunches of cinderblocks and a man down the street collects pallets to sell, maybe he will sell me a few.

That's exactly what I need here. I always have so many pots cluttering the steps because they aren't ready for the garden yet. One day I'll get it all together...

but I do wish I had twice as much space . . .
. . . even though I know that still wouldn't be enough.

A great idea. It's exactly how we do it in our nursery. Up high so you don't bend over as much. Up on the pallets keep weeds from getting in as prolifically too. I wish I did it at home too...super idea.

A good observation B, and perfectly true, too
and if I were only about 25 years younger. . . . 
But truely, this does make it a wee bit easier on my old, achy back
and I seem to be having fewer problems with ground-crawling bugs,  which is a good thing.

I know nothing about you .
But you have the right attitude..........
I told my elder sister to raise hers also.. She pots her tomatoes in large flower pots and puts them on her carport..It is concrete.
They do well there.. She said one has 22 tomatoes on it .......I think she plants 2 in those really large flower pots.
