Hi Netty,
That is a Ceanothus. I don't remember the variety. It is also known as wild lilac. Zones 4-7, 14-24 according to my Western Garden Book. It is nice and fragrant

That's my kind of jungle. It would be great if it could stay like that all year round, although you may not appreciate it as much then. Great pics Muddy.

What is the name of that deep pink flower with the fuzzy white leaves in the 4th picture? My mom had some when I was a kid and I would love to have some in my garden too Razz I don't feel quite so foolish if I know what to ask for when I go to the nursery. Laughing

Deanna,
Those are rose campion. If you remind me I will send you the seed when it is ready. You may regret planting it as it is like a weed once it gets going. Start with one and you'll get a ton. Good thing I like them! I grow those and poppies out along the road where I have no irrigation and they are just gorgeous.

That rose campion even flourishes out here on the prairie, flirts dangerously with "weed" status! gorgeous garden shots.
