|
What color should I paint this small bathroom. It is 6 x 9 and has the toilet behind the entry door. The shower tube combo is to the right and the vanity is on the opposite side. There is 27 inches between the tube and the front of the vanity. The focal point in the room is a flower stained glass window, across from the entry door.I'm thinking of repainting it white, with charcoal flower stencils, staggered every 12 inches on the walls.(to mimick the lead around the flower). The floor and shower tile have a pale pink/green coloration. There are iridescent tiles in the tub surround.

How about Mary, instead of white, you go for an almost white? You can get 'white' paints now with just a touch of colour in them - say green or pink to go with the iridescent tiles in the tub surround. It would be slightly less glaring that just plain white. Of course the choice is ultimately yours.

I'm with Eileen's idea on this one, a lighter shade of the pink or green on the tiles may work very well. This is going from the image I have in my head however. I hope you can post a photo for us Mary as that would help lots. By the way welcome to GardenStew!

Yes, I had already thought of that . What do you think about charcoal flower stencils on the walls?

As long as the transfers are only dotted here and there and are not too big Mary they should be fine. However, it's hard to judge without seeing a photograph of the room. Is there any way you could post a piccie for us?

How big are the flowers? I think they would be fine if done right.

Why chance on taking away from the "focal" point, seems like there's a lot going on in there already with the tiles,it may get way to busy...?paint the walls hang pretty towels etc.
