Bethie: In a previous blog you mentioned that if anyone was interested in creating a leaf birdbath to just let you know. I know that when I get back to Florida the end of August, that my elephant ear leaves will be huge and I really want to create a birdbath and possibly a fountain with them. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance

I would love to have instruction also. I just saw a short clip of doing this on HGTV and have been at leaves in my yard every since.

Ok, instead of a pm I'll put this in the forum. Probably Sunday. Happy to do it.

Thanks Bethie, as soon as it cools off a bit in La. I am going to give it a try too. I have some beautiful elephant ear leaves.

I used a tutorial similar to this one:

http://www.gardengatemagazine.com/extras/53birdbath.php

They also have directions for making a pedestal.

This link really helped me get started:

http://faq.gardenweb.com/faq/lists/accout/2002072754010311.html

I would be very interested to see Bethie's tutorial, she has a certain style that creates magic in the garden!

Yes, look at all the articles you can. I get old birdbath pedestals at the junkyard and build in the matching slot so they can be married.
