Today when I went to water the canna I found this bud. I had thought it was another leaf forming. Maybe it will be yellow? The pictures are two different angles of the same bud.
I'll keep an eye open for it to get larger. dooley

Definitely looks like a canna to me Dooley, it will be pretty when fully opened. It does look yellow.

Dooley, there is no doubt it is a Canna...I have three dozen in the backyard with leaves and buds just like those. It could be yellow but until it unfurls just a bit more it could be hard to tell.

It looks yellow but it could be 2 different colors .It sure grew fast.

I checked back posts. The lady gave them to me on April 15th. I posted a picture of them coming up on May 15th. Tomorrow is July 15th so that's three months since the lady gave them to me. I didn't plant them right away. It's only two months since they came up. I guess they grew pretty fast. Must be a combination of the heat and the water and MiracleGro that I've put on them. I check tomorrow and see how they've opened. dooley

Yes it's definately a canna!!! Wow that really grew fast and now we're about to see it in flower!!!  Can hardly wait Dooley.

I noticed that my Canna (pink) started opening as well. It's open today and bright pink. I'll try to get a photo before it starts raining again.
My friend at the Nusery gave me a couple of cannas that have leaves that are light green with almost white stripes. I don't have a clue what color it could be.
