Unfortunately Bugs Google Earth has not mapped Galway as well as Dublin in terms of satellite photos. But I did however find you (I think) and I guessed whereabouts I am and I mocked up this:

Has your house got a white bus/van outside it in the satellite imagery?

Walked home from Galway to Dublin! Shocked How long did that take you? That's walking across the width of Ireland! Cripes, I feel like a lightweight now!

We did it at our leisure (walk across Ireland) It was not the straight route. We stopped at places like Mullingar, It took 7 days of leisurely walking , there was not so much traffic then and we did make use of the odd Massey Ferguson 35 whenever a farmer passed by Laughing , I was eighteen then and influenced by the film Easy Rider except of course I could not afford a motorbike (apprentice gardeners did not get paid very well then Laughing Laughing ) Driving from Dublin to Galway even now I still get nostalgic passing some of the fields we slept in under the open skies. happy days Cool Bugs
