I love the JB hummingbird feeders so much that I order one for my mother. The hummingbirds like the little perch. The glass bottle screws off and the bottom comes apart for easy cleaning. Mine go in the top shelf of the dishwasher. Another thing I like about the JB feeder is you can pour your sugar and warm water right in the bottle, then mix or swish around. How easy is that!
Ruby throated hummingbirds started visiting almost immediately.

I'm glad this post came up I never gave much thought to humming bird feeders but you all have made some good points. My next one will be glass! Yesterday we had a horrible hail storm and it actually busted my feeder!! I'm sure sitting in the sun weakens them and the marble sized ice balls didn't help either!
