Hi all!

2005 was my first year at gardening and I did great! I learned alot and killed only one plant! Very Happy

But I have a problem! I love daylilies. I had a whole huge garden of them and they were wonderful to watch as they grew and bloomed. Then the sneezing started! Im allergic! To the point, my other plants werent getting watered because I couldnt stand to be in my yard. My hubby had to go yank all the lilies out of the ground and get them out of the yard just go I could go outside. They went next door to my neighbor ,who planted them on the other side of his house, away from me!

Is there a Daylily out there that wont send me running inside as soon as it blooms??? I love them! I would love to be a collector! Someone please help!

Hi Pinkiered, Your allergy is in all probability caused by the pollen from your plants. Is it just from daylilies ( Haemerocallis)? or do other plants have this effect--- hayfever? . Sometimes antihistamines ( from your chemist/drug store) help relieve the symptoms. Other people wear a surgical mask. Pollen is released by plants at certain times of the day, depending on temperature, weather conditions etc., If you keep a diary of when the condition happens you may see a pattern to help you avoid it. Cool Hope this helps, regards Bugs p.s. there are lots of other plants to grow so dont give up Very Happy

Thank for the tips!

Yeah it was just the lilies so far. I dont have many flowers in my garden mostly green. I did grow Cannas ,roses, rock roses, and calla lilies(?). I did fine with them.

Ill try the mask this spring. They are wonderful and I just love them. But they dont love me!
