I have done some (really dumb) things in my life. They seemed like good ideas, or at least harmless at the time. They are comical now and I thought it might be fun if we posted our bloopers and maybe learn from each others "learning experiences". All meant to be in fun, not to make anyone look bad. And of course, we all did these things when we were very young and inexperienced Laughing )
I will even go first...

Don't strip phoneline wires with your teeth (the line does carry a small charge) while installing a new phone jack... Mr. Green

Don't check the oil in your lawn mower...while it is running Embarassed

On that same running lawn mower, don't push the sparkplug connection on tighter Embarassed

Don't try to change an 0 ring on a faucet without turning the main water supply off, unless you have just finished checking the lawn mower oil with it running. Then you can get that high pressure face wash you need.. Shocked

Ok I can't think of the many others right now but I'm sure they will come back.

Great topic desertflower. I am very cautious person (maybe even overly cautious) so I don't believe I have a novel's worth of bloopers but I do have one:

Don't cut your toenails too short.

I had to have both my large toenails removed TWICE to teach me never to do that again.

Sorry if I put anyone off their breakfast Mr. Green

Well, Frank I understand about cautious now. I am pretty cautious now too. My son used to have his toe nails removed. It is an awful thing to go through.

Never, ever clean your hob rings when they are still hot - my poor fingers still haven't recovered from last week!! Embarassed

DON'T apologise to a lampost or pillar box when you bump into - you get some really strange looks from passers-by. Rolling Eyes

When feeding the birds early in the morning DO NOT go into the garden in your nighclothes with unbrushed hair as the roofers may be at work next door. I'm not the prettiest of sights I can tell you - nearly gave the poor guys heart attacks!! Shocked

Don't strip phoneline wires with your teeth (the line does carry a small charge) while installing a new phone jack... Mr. Green

Don't hold the wires when it rings. Normal voltage is about 6 volts. It'll make your tongue all tingly. Ring voltage is about 90 volts. It'll make your hand twitch and feel funny. If you have the wires in your mouth, it'll make your eyeballs swap sockets!

Make sure your porch light is working when you have a peddle car sitting beside the front step makes for a really wild ride. Mr. Green
Don't run out the front door after the door steps has been removed for sure it your house is 4 ft. off the ground. That really feels stupid.(Dang near broke my neck.I broke 3 toes instead) Embarassed

Don't run out after the garbage truck with bags in both hands when the ground is covered in ice!

i will give it a go

Don't drag your brother on the ground with the truck and video tape it.

Don't listen to your friend when he says the powers off. Check it your self.

Don't go running down a hill with a $500 camera in your hand, Things can happen.

Don't drink a whole thing of chocolate syrup.

Don't shoot your friend in the chest with a paint ball gun at close range.
